Joe Young

As Assistant Controller, Joe is responsible for managing partnership tax returns, adhering to audit requirements, overseeing fund financial reporting, treasury management & working with Fifield’s stabilized assets on operational reporting.

Prior to joining Fifield, Joe led the accounting & reporting functions for The X Company, a Chicago based start-up developer, with over $1B in construction activity in seven markets. During his tenure the company grew from 15 employees to over 100 employees across the country. Joe started his professional career as a controller at Waste Connections, overseeing several of their operating locations throughout Minnesota, that generated over $50mm in annual revenues.

Joe earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN where he was also a member of the Tommie football team.
